Pack valuables like cameras & computers in unmarked boxes to the rear of the storage space.

Store windows, screens and mirrors on edge, not flat. Place mirrors in a mirror pack or cardboard.

Store books in lined cartons (trash bags make great liners). Pack books flat to protect spines.
Store records (remember records!?) on edge in boxes. Don't pack too many in one carton.

Wrap dishes and glasses individually, place packing inside bottom and top of the box.
Stack dishes on edge.

Holiday ornaments are best packed in original cartons.
Pad with packing paper or newspaper.

Pack heavy items like books and dishes in small, easy to handle cartons.

Never store perishables, explosives, flammable liquids or fuels.
Never, ever leave animals in a storage unit.

Cover all your stored items with a lightweight cotton sheet. Allow for ventilation.
Use a high quality lock on your unit. Quality locks are available for sale.
